How To Draw Grizzly From We Bare Bears

Today, we are going to show you how to draw Grizzly bear from We Bear Bears.  Grizzly Bear is a well-known character that is worthy of being drawn, as anyone who has seen We Bare Bears would attest. This bear, who goes by “Grizz” with others, is not your typical grizzly. He is a favorite among many because of his unique physical characteristics and rich personality. How to Draw Grizzly

Step 1 – Drawing the eye and the nose

We are going to start at the top of the head, with the eyes. The eyes are basically little round circles. So, start them with the one on the left. We are just going to draw a circle and color it black.  Now, the face is actually at an angle so there is a little bit of a tilt. We are going to draw the right eye up a little bit higher, but at the same size. So, start with a circle and color it black. Now, we will draw the nose. It actually sits right below the right eye but also in a slight angle. So, it is an actual oval. So, start at the top, right about there. We are just going to draw a little oval like that and go ahead and color it black.

Step 2 – Drawing the face

From there, we are not going to draw the mouth. We are going to draw in the muscle the front cheek of the face. So, start just right of the right eye there. We are just going to put a point. This is going to curve down towards the chin which is where we want to put it, right about there. So, draw that curve. This helps us figure out where to put the mouth.  We are going to put the mouth right in there. It is not going to go below the chin.  So, up there at the mouth, sort of an angle, start with the top of the mouth with a curve, curving from left to right.  Then, around the side there, we are just going to round out the side of the mouth. On the right, we will just round up the center mouth. Now, it is a little bit wider there on the left than it is on the right. 

We are going to connect that point to that point there with a curve. So, curve down and just make our way to the right side. Along the top, he has three teeth. So, we are going to start on the left side. We are just going to draw little curves. It is almost like half circles just tucked underneath the top of the mouth. So, just three right across and then for the tongue, it is basically just a larger half circle. It tucks in underneath the bottom of the mouth. Let’s go to the top of the head. So, the body is actually like a big pear. It starts off really small at the top and gets wider as we get down to the bottom. We are going to round up the top of the head but there is an ear there, so the ear actually overlaps on top of the head.

We are probably going to draw the head. Draw a curve that goes right into the top of that cheek there. Let’s draw on the ear so we are just going to do an overlap and It is almost like a circle. But, it is not fully complete. There is an opening at the end. Let’s draw the ear in the back. So, the ear in the back is actually just above the left eye. It is actually just a half circle, just tucked in behind the top of the head.

Step 3 – Drawing the body

From there, let’s get into the body. To the front of the chin, we are going to create a big curve, almost like a pear shape. We just want to make sure that we have enough space. So right there, that looks like enough space just for the bottom of the body to keep the fingers down. We go back a little bit and draw a curve for the back. Now, we want it to be quite wide. It is going to get wider as we get down to the bottom. So let’s start up there just behind the ear. Curve out and start to come in as we get towards my fingers. We are going to come in the opposite direction and leave enough space there for the leg. So, from there, we are just going to curve the belly out. Then, just start to come in towards the finger right about there .

Step 4 – Drawing the legs

From this point, let’s draw in the leg right there. We are going to draw the back of the leg first. The legs are quite short. We are just going to put the fingers at the bottom, where the feet would be. From there, we are going to curve backwards. Round out the heel just a little bit. We come towards the front of the foot.  Just a curve going towards the front of the foot. So, curve up like us. For the front of the toes, we are just going to curl this around. Pull this back now. From there, we are going to draw the front of the leg now. This leg is actually overlapping the body. So, we are just going to curve up.

We are just going to close off the bottom of the body. So, we are just going to draw a line, just to finish that off. On the front of the foot, we are going to draw some toes. Just two curves side by side. Let’s draw the leg in the back. So, the leg is pretty much taking this and just drawing it back. The leg is actually a little bit higher than the front leg. So, we are going to start right about there and curve the front of the leg. From there, we are going to draw the front toe like there. Like we did on the left, we are pulling this around. We are going to round out the bottom of the foot like that.

Step 5 – Drawing the hand

Let’s draw in the arm. So, the arm is quite long. We are going to start at the back. So, we are going to start with the back of the arm right about there. We are going to curve down towards the tip of the hand.  From that point, we are going to round out the bottom of the hand. Now, this is going to come all the way back up. Then, we are going to draw on some fingers, just like we did with the toes. We are going to go in the opposite direction, just pulling two lines up.

Step 6 – Let’s color!
