Step 1 – Drawing the face

We are going to start it with the nose. We are going to draw an oval, starting from the top, curving out to the left and then around to the right side. Then, color that nose black, just above the nose. We want to draw the nose bridge so we are just going to draw a curve just above the nose. Then, on the other side, we are going to draw on the eyes. They are such tiny ovals. One on the left. We color that in black and then one on the right and we will color that in black as well.

Then, we move down and draw in the cheek. There is a cheek line that comes out on the right side. Out there, draw a little curve coming down and at the bottom of the curve, we are going to move over towards the center and draw on the mouth, just a little curve. Let’s go to the top of the head and draw a curve for the top of the head. Start from the left, curve up and over towards the right side.

Step 2 – Drawing the head

We are going to tuck the ears on top of the head. Start on the left side, we going to do a slight overlap. Just do a little curl and on the right, we will do the same thing. So, overlap and curl around from there. Let’s go down the side of the face towards the neck so we draw two curves that come down to about the mouth level. It is going to come out a little bit wider around the neck area. So, imagine this curve of the top of the head behind the ear. We are going to continue this down to right about here just below the mouth line on either side. Then, come down on the right. 

Step 3 – Drawing the hands

We are going to draw the arms on top of the body. They will go down. So, start on the left from the head and curve out. Then, start to curl in at the tip of the hand. We are going to bring this back up. Curve back up, aiming towards the face. Just stop right about there and do the same thing on the right side. Make sure we line up the bottoms of the hands.  We are going to keep the finger there. Start on the right side of the head, curve down towards the hand. We are going to round out the bottom of the hand. Pull this back up just like we did on the left side. Curve up and bring that up to the same height. Let’s draw some finger lines along the bottom of the left hand. We draw two curves going up and on the right, we will do the same thing to the other side.

Step 4 – Drawing the body

From there, let’s get down towards the body. The body is going to come around n towards the legs. We are going to draw them down to about underneath the arm. Then, step in, curve out and in.  On the right side, we do the same thing. Make sure we line up the bottoms.  So, the bottom of the hand will start to curve around and in. Now, we want to leave a gap on either side for the legs. But in the center, we just want to draw the lower belly. Connect it but just in the middle.  Then, we draw a little curve across.

Step 5 – Drawing the legs

We are going to go in the middle and draw the inside part of the legs. From the center on the left side, we will draw one straight line down. Then, on the right, we will draw a straight line down. Then, curve the bottoms of the feet. Start on the left, then curve down and over towards the left side. We are going to curl the top of the foot. Curve that back up. From there, we are going to take this line on the side of the body. Then, draw a straight line down behind the foot. We are going to draw some toe lines. Let’s draw one curve and draw another one. Then, draw the same thing on the right side. So, we draw the curve for the bottom of the foot. Towards the end of the foot, we want to make sure they are the same length. We are going to wrap the toe around. Then, take that line and pull it straight into that foot. We are going to draw in the toe separation lines.
